PEMBROKE PASSIONLY last year's freshman champion draws well enough to utilize all that good early speed - Has yet to win in stakes company as a sophomore but has always been well backed at the windows ... JUST CALL ME DEE never really found a way to overcome the dreaded 8-hole in her recent Queen City appearance but was a stakes winner when last seen here at the Downs - Key player in this split ... SARATOGA LIZ has gotten extremely sharp since that disappointing 6/23 stakes debut at Scarborough earlier - This filly now boasts a stakes win and runner-up placing this year while appearing to get better and better with each passing week ... 2-3-6
Race Five ... BARBELLS makes his second appearance at the Downs while boasting the most robust recent form to be found on this program page - Gains the slightest of advantages in this rather well matched group ... DON'T TELL GEORGE is the notable class dropper to be found in this split - Recent form has been lacking but a stable-mate of his did win this division last Thursday ... WOLF'S MILAN classy campaigner has yet to find his best stride of the season but it's tough to count this cagey veteran out - Could well best this group on memories alone ... 1-4-5
